This series extends Hoffmann’s ongoing inquiry into perception, sensation, and the unseen. Designed for slow encounter, the works are presented either as Diasec-mounted prints — enhancing clarity and luminous depth — or as backlit lightboxes, evoking a quiet inner glow.
Pulsing Matter lives as visual haiku: quiet frames of becoming.
Pulsing Matter is a photographic meditation on impermanence — a study of light, texture, and the body as a shifting landscape. Captured through handheld movement and natural illumination, each image marks the threshold between presence and disappearance, inviting the viewer into a contemplative stillness.
Rooted in somatic awareness, the work approaches the body not as fixed identity but as transient architecture — porous, rhythmic, in continuous transformation. The photographs oscillate between intimacy and abstraction, offering glimpses of something both tender and ungraspable: a memory, a breath, a vibration.
